Bell Restoration Fund

The fund was set up in 1979 with a view to building up a capital sum from which grants could be offered to churches in our area for work to their bells and fittings.

Income is received from various sources: interest on the fund; a proportion of all subscriptions is transferred directly to the fund; the proceeds of the 100 Club and raffles held at Association meeting; a suggested donation from quarter peal ringers where quarters are rung other than for services; the proceeds of social events - ceilidhs, quiz nights, dinners etc.; personal donations and legacies.

In 2008, with the fund standing at well over £25,000, the governing articles were amended to make it possible to offer more generous grants. The committee would welcome applications for grants from the fund. Initial contact should be with the Secretary or Bell Adviser. (Contact details here). The same page has contact details for the Treasurer, who would be delighted to offer help with Gift Aid matters, or with appropriate wording for legacies. A Gift Aid form may be printed off here.
