Marking the centenary of the death of Corporal Thomas William Belton,
5th Bn., King's Shropshire Light Infantry, killed in the
Battle of Passchendaele on 22 August 1917, aged 25 years.

He was a member of the St Chad's and St Alkmund's Society of Change Ringers, Shrewsbury,
and worked as a gardener at Berwick Hall, Shropshire. He was the son of Charles Henry and Elizabeth Belton
of Barwell, Leicestershire, and married Maggie Ruddick on 16 January 1916.
